Now we are at the end of the course and thinking about it, specially in the subject of English, I think this year has been harder and little bit more difficult than last year. I have the sensation that at the beginning of the course we have a little bit of disorganisation in the class because I’ve never known what we would do in the next class, but I have to say the best part of the second term and the third term we have concentrated in selectivity with a good organisation. As far as the Tuesdays classes I am very happy because it allowed you to practice the more difficult things for you, that is, if you have problems with listening (as I have) you can do listening or if you have problems with writings or reading comprehension you can practice there. And about Annika, I think she is good for us because we have the opportunity of talking with a person who can only or almost speaks English.
In general, I have the sensation this year I haven’t improve my English, but isn’t true. This negative view is maybe because I am now in the final exams and I can’t have an objective view, yet.

A teacher says how we can improve our English. First of all we have to have the initiative to learn English. After that we have to study at least three hours a week and be constant, and not to stop studying for long periods such as in summer. Then it is good we get a teacher because is easier to be constant and we have a person to speak in English. He also says we can improve our level by travelling, listening to songs in English, reading magazines and books, doing activities in internet, watching DVD’s, etc.
In this video a man, the journalist, is going to show us some vegetables and fruits in a market. Among the vegetables there are egg plant, squash, cantaloupe, pepper, and others. Then there are the fruits: grapes, strawberries. Also there is a man who sell basically indoor plants from Costa Rica and Hawaii, so they are tropical plants great for indoors because they provide oxygen and beauty.
Last month I read “Kip Parvati”, a juvenile book. The main character of this book is the young Kip who has to work because his father has gone abroad and his family haven’t money and food. He works with his uncle as a fisherman and in the end of the story he became the best fisherman of his village. This is the way he earned a big amount of money. And we can say “Kip Parvati” has a happy end.
In my opinion “Kip Parvati” is a beautiful book. People who has read this book realise that in life you have to fight to got all you want or all you need, as Kip does. I recommend to you this adventure book.
Spanish people are big smokers and for this reason the government introduces an anti-smoking legislation in 2006 that don’t allow to smoke in working places, shops, some bars and restaurants and most public areas. If somebody can not quit smoking in Catalonia, the Catalan health service provides support for smokers wishing to quit. There is also permanent telephone contact, a pharmacological help, etc.
